Location: Lower Gwynedd, PA (Ambler)
The Request: Homeowner recently purchased the home (approx. 7200 sq feet, 3 stories, 20 years old). The existing network infrastructure was non-existent and the whole house audio was dated. No SMART devices or security cameras were present. We were challenged to make the property move-in readyfrom a network, home security, whole house sound and smart home platform perspective. The Homeowner preferred streaming TV only and wanted to eliminate the need for cable television. Also, the Homeowner worked from home and wanted a secure robust network to support their business and more importantly Wi-Fi calling. Finally, the Homeowner was a Google/Android platform user and wanted an integrated solution that allowed for that to continue.
The Solution: We started by establishing the Tech Backbone for the home. A centralized data center wasstood up, including all necessary low voltage and electrical runs. The home network (firewall, switches, interior and exterior wireless access points, etc.) and 9 exterior security cameras were integrated. All TV locations in the home (existing and new) were set up to be wired directly to the data center for a seamless streaming experience. Samsung Frame TVs were used in this home. SONOS sound was used for the whole house audio in five separate zones, and Brilliant Tech was the SMART home platform selected.
